Question about which Eibach springs

I am also anxiously awaiting coilovers for the X but I might go with some springs since I am sick of looking at my huge wheelgap.

For a G37x sedan which Eibach springs would I go with, the G37x coupe springs or the G37 RWD sedan springs?

Thanks
Ryan

The G37x & X Coupe, kit drops it, F1.9" & R 1.6".
The G37 Sedan & S kit drops it, F1.5" & R 1.2"
Eibachs site specifically says RWD kit excludes AWD use. Even if the RWD kit worked on the AWD would it be lowered enough to get the look you want?

I am leaning toward the G37x coupe springs due to the lower drop however I am unsure how the install will go since I am not aware of how the coupe and sedan differ in their setup.

Are there any issues I can expect installing the kit for the AWD coupe on my sedan? If not, off to look for a place to buy them from.

speaking of which... notice the G37 coupe springs # 6388.140

This lowers the car by F 1.2 and R 0.8

I heard some rumblings about this.. but nothing confirmed on G sedans. Im gonna start a thread if anyone knows anything about this.

If these work, this will be awesome for those who want a minor drop compared to the regular G35 eibach springs.

I think I know where your coming from Wes. We would still have the comfort of decent clearance for winter driving but I think a rear 0.8" drop (20mm) on a stock X would not give the desired look we are going for. It would probably just look like a base G35 (not that there is anything wrong with that).

In my opinion, the rear looks pretty good already. So a 0.8 drop on the rear is awesome!

Then 1.2 drop up front would be spectacular!! But the verdict is still out on this.. and we have no idea how its gonna look.

So the G37x springs will fit the 07 G35x? And then I would just need rear cambers as well?

Nobody has ever done it. To my knowledge.

Your best best is to stick with the springs for the sedan. A camber kit would be nice. Not required, but better for tire wear and bringing your camber back to spec.

I see them all the time back home (we drink a lot in Huron County). You really gotta watch out for them when driving the G on the highway. If you think a June bug is loud hitting a windshield, just imagine one of these.
