stainless steel brake lines?
stainless steel brake lines?
So I'm thinking of putting on stainless steel brake lines from stillen but I'm not too sure about the real results I'll get opposed to the claimed results.
I've read that it will make the brake pedal much more sensitive (which I want). Are there any other benefits? Has anyone else used Stillen's steel brake lines on the g35 (I have the '08 xS) and if so what kind of results did you see?
Thanks

r u using the stock brakes?
usually people who upgrade their lines also upgrade the binders too.
so it might be hard to find some one who can give u results of just a brake line upgrade.

i did it on a 240sx. made a huge difference on that car.
can't imagine it would do a lot on a G, though. our brakes have pretty good pedal feel with the stock set up in my opinion. the things i don't like about the G brakes probably couldn't be fixed with new lines.
to me, the main motivation to go with ss lines is to eliminate the flexing of the rubber components in most oem setups and get a more direct relationship between the pressure you push on the pedal with and the amount of brake pad travel at the wheel. you'll have slightly more modulation ability, but so much of that is damped already with vdc, abs and preload gadgetry that i doubt you'll see much difference except at the limits.
