heh, heh..... we'll finally tried driving around town a bit with VDC off. hilarious.... now i'm starting to realize how much fun this car is when the nanny is gone.

also realized you can't use cruise with VDC off? what's up with that? i'm gonna wear out the vdc button turning it off everytime i start up the engine and then shutting it down at highway speeds to turn on cruise control.....

Try it in the rain or snow....just be careful and don't be stupid in it.

turn on radio .

put on seat belt.

turn off vdc ..

Great times with VDC off, always turn it off. Car chips 1st to 2nd & 2nd to 3rd gear with no problem. When taking hard turns, you do have to watchout for fish tailing, but most of the time the 4WAS prevents it from happening

I turn mine off quite often but only when I'm cornerning/twisties. Never on the highway, I think I need it on the highway.

VDC off is fun - and there are quite a few posts of people who squished their G while having fun with VDC off...

My advice is definitely leave it on in rain or slippery conditions. Other times - up to you bro

Turned mine off last week in the rain. Long story short, I went around a 90deg turn, little heavy on the gas and ended up doing a 180. Scared the crap out of me and gave me a whole new respect for wet roads.

in the rain you should really only lightly blip the throttle. you'll see that once the car starts to slide, the rear wheels don't have to be continuously spinning for the car to maintain it's slide.

I have AT, and I have turned VDC off a few times and notice nothing. Is it because I have AT, or because I'm afraid of ruining something or getting a ticket (even though I was in Law Enforcement for 10 years, I don't think I'd get a pass for "losing traction" from my buddies in this small town.)
I did see a "slip" light while turning on a gravel road. Is this part of same system?

Q8y drifter, what does "debadged" mean? Also, of all your performance upgrades, which 2 do you notice the most?

Yes, the slip light is part of the system. It will flash if the car starts to lose traction and the tires slip. Depending on your tires, you may or may not be able to break the traction lose. Not sure if your Nitto's are new, but I'm on my stock potenza's and was able to spin the tires all the way to 3rd (around 70mph) today on a smooth road.

EDIT: Debadged means i took off all the Infiniti badges in the rear. I can't say which part gave me what yet since I just got my Injen intake and i'm still in it's break-in period. a Fast Intentions exhaust and HFC's would probably make more power than both of my mods.
