Lowering 09 G37x?

I've got an 09 G37x and would really love to drop it (not aggressively). I've heard lots of people say it can affect the AWD, and have also heard that it doesn't affect it that much. I was wondering if anyone has dropped a more recent G35x (08+) or preferably a G37x (08+)? If so, could you post pictures and let me know how it handles?

If you have done this could you list the:
1. Type of springs and model # if possible
2. How much you dropped it

Thanks guys!

Lots of people have dropped their X's
The most popular spring choice has most likely been the Eibachs, but some have chosen the Impuls for the more modest drop... they just cost a lot more.
There's plenty of threads regarding the spring choices

You may wanna have a look here as wel.

dropping the car will not effect the AWD system. my X has been dropped for 2 years on Eibach Springs and i have not encountered any problems.

in regards to how it handles, the ride is rougher from stock but since im dropped, i feel the car handles better around corners/ turns

By rougher, do you mean a lot or just barely. I can handle a little rougher if it looks better Also what springs do you suggest. Eibach Pro Kit, which model #?

6383.140 is the correct part number for the Eibach Pro Kit.

thankyou Scott!! I just gotta line up a spring compressor, and a few other things,, i will be ordering these tomorrow!! before and after measurements, before and after pics... I will be covering ALL bases,, lol only thing is,, i am wondering if i'll be able to leave on my 15mm wheel spacers,,, that actually help out with the ungainly look we X guys are all trying to dispatch..... because in some of my autoX, and tracking the car it really leans over!! and if theres some bumps in the track,,, I can NOT have any rubbing.... so we'll see..... regards....

Def go with the Eibachs for an X...it gives you the most even drop based on research on this forum and also on how my drop came out.....ride is a little stiff but i like it this way for better cornering and overall handing

Lowering an AWD G?

Has anyone lowered their Gx? Tirerack doesn't offer a lowering spring set so I wasn't sure if it was possible. Thanks

This question always come up.

The response is always... do a search. You'll get your answer. But to answer your question. Yes. There are a lot of G35x's here that are dropped.

Eibach springs will work. Impul springs will work... etc.

triton...when you install, could you try to remember to put pics up and let me know how the ride was? I'm trying to save up for some springs. Do you you have aftermarket rims btw?

No,, i am gonna ride with stock wheels for awhile,, but way better tires in the near future.... I am getting things lined up for install next week...actually the springs arn't even gonna be here till wed the 12th...... funny... last car i lowerd was a 1986 Comp prep SVO Mustang.... I used Eibach on that car also.. It actually rode almost the same ... but handled WAY better!!!
