Bushing grease

I haven't gone to the store yet, but I need some grease to re-lube my sway bar bushings.

Is any one brand better than the next?

Are you getting squeaking going over bumps? Mine too - took it back to the dealer for some other stuff, and they fixed that too under warranty.

Ya, but only with both wheels going over a speed bump at the same time (not at an angle).

I'm thinking I just have to re-grease the Hotchkis bushing and it'll go away. Hotchkis recommends a silicone based grease, but I was just wondering if any one brand is better than the next. If nobody comes up with a recommendation, I'll just buy whatever Napa/Checkers has.

Well, NAPA didn't have any silicone based grease (recommended by Hotchkis), only some lithium based blended crap . Dammit.

I use Amsoil synth ....works great and lasts.

* Resists thermal and oxidation degradation
* Excellent water-washout resistance
* Good low temperature pumpability and torque values
* Adhesive and shear stable to prevent squeeze out

Cool.

But now this question: Hotchkis recommends a silicone based grease. Any advantage/disadvantage to using the lithium based Amsoil one?

silicone is an adder to improve water washout resistance.
That's why Hopscotch recommends it.

IMO, The AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease grade #2, is even better for wash out resistance.

BTW, I think I've convinced another well-known member to get a set. I'll keep his name under wraps until he decides
