brake change needed?

My brakes started to squel recently, but the thing is it happens half the time when i brake and not all the time.

the car is at 22k KM, roughly 13k miles.
i dont know if my brakes are running out or if its a TSB. i had my rotors resurfed once.

also, can any1 point me to site for buying pads, that would be cheaper than buying at dealership?

Take it to the dealer. A new tsb for brake squeal just came out about a month ago. I took it in for the same symptoms and the dealer replaced my pads for free because of the tsb.

Mine squeal also. So you just said my brake squeal and can you look at it? I have a feeling they're going to charge me for the pads...Just trying to see what you told the dealer.

To be honest, I went to the dealer expecting to pay. They're the ones that brought up the tsb. I have no idea what the tsb # is.

Thanks, did a search and found TSB for our car but didn't mention anything about brake squeal or anything to do with brakes...

Here's the tsb:

http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com/TSB....aspx?id=55340

Show that to the dealer and tell them to kick rocks with that outrageous quote. With that price, you might as well upgrade the the Akebono BBK's.

Thanks a lot i just found it on another site also. I called them before i found the site and the service advisor was being a dick basically laugh at me saying it's squeaking and you want us to replace it for free? there's absolutely no tsb on squeal/squeak brakes..So yeah expect me to call him again with the TSB Number.

Thanks again

Got his voicemail. called another dealership they said that TSB is just info and it's not a recall and pads after 12 months or 12,000 miles are wear and tear and will not be replaced under warranty...yours is a 2008 so im guessing it's under 12months. i have an 07...so are they correct? : \

Hit up Riverside Infiniti and ask for Rick. I think they even have an ebay store. But from what I heard, its best to call.

Ya, mine is an 08, but when they did this for me, I was at 16k. Like I said, I went there expecting to pay. They did this on their own will. I guess it all depends on the dealer.

There are about 4 infiniti dealerships around here so yeah i called another and they told me to bring it in and they'll check. The guy was much more understanding than the other...you're right it all depends on the dealer.
