New Tire Option

I was all set to try out the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum tires on my 07 Sport, as I wasn't thrilled with the other available options in the original tire sizes. However, Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions just came out. Obviously, the Kumho's are "Grand Touring All-Season" whereas the Bridgestone's are "Ultra High Performance All-Season."

Here's my question, which tire will be better in the snow? Both are rated about the same on Tirerack. I want to stick with an all-season tire and don't mind paying more for the Bridgestone tires, provide the snow traction is at least equal to the Kumho tires.

Anyone have any experience to share?

Thanks.

I just ordered my third set of Kuhmo Ecsta ASXs. I went through two sets on my 350z and they were great tires in the winter. As a bonus they are only $90 each. I've been very, very pleased with the 2 sets I've had and I drove the hell out of them.

Thanks for the positive recommendation. With the weather starting to turn cold and 22k miles on the OEM Bridgestone's, my time is running short to make a decision.

Where do you get them for $90? I see them being 129 on tirerack? I'm still on stock tires and winter is here soon in VA so i do need some all season
