Ian,
How bad/not bad was shimming the pads on the calipers?

That's the only thing that worries me about installing these.

If you have an 04 like in your sig, you need the caliper adapter brackets. They're not a direct bolt on for you, but are for 2nd gens.

I didn't use them.
I have the HPS pads & they fit nicely w/o the shims.
I just lubed the backs & dropped them in.

They seem to be fine so far... no squeeling at all.

what kinda wheels do you have. B/c I've been wanting to buy it, but at the same time, my G is my only means of transportation at the moment, so if I were to get a flat on my 20's, I usually use my stock 18 inch wheels as a spare till I can get to the tire shop. And I hear they don't clear the stock 18's

Same with me... I'm running 20s, but those are 18" stock 350Z anniversary ed. wheels.

I'll let you know if they get any worse after they've been on for a while.
It would have been damn tight trying to fit the shims in there,
there wasn't much extra space.

IDK if the HPS are any thicker than OE or not.

Ian, if you can still measure the HPS, i can do the same with my un-installed OEM's. I'm still contemplating on whether or not to use the stock pads. The allure of being able to switch pad compounds (from street to all-out race) without having to resurface the rotors has me contemplating going the Carbotech route.

Stop rubbing it in willya?

Front pad material shows as 10.45mm. I don't have the rear pads yet.

Lookin good , can't wait to install mine. I'm not sure if you mentioned this, but did you ever find a new spare wheel that cleared the akebono's?

not yet...
I did try my 10" rear up front though (for the double switch)
& it's def a no go.
width is OK but the face is too shallow to clear the caliper.
