Alll weather Tires for Infiniti G35X
Alll weather Tires for Infiniti G35X
Hi guys,
I wanted to change tires of myInfiniti. Which brand would you guys recomend. They come with Goodyear Eagle RSA and it's review is bad. What tiers would you recomend? Should I get the tires replaced from the dealer or from another shop like Sears etc.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I wouldn't park my car in a Sears lot, much less let them work on it.
I got my winters from TireRack and the service and price was outstanding.
I wish they carried my Falken's there.
Like TG asked... you have to know what you want first. Personally, I run high performance summer tires in the warm weather and Blizzaks in the winter. This makes for the best driving conditions year round. If you want one tire that fits all weather conditions, it will suffer slightly in performance in all types of driving.
And yeah... the RSA's suck. Bad in the wet, horrible in the cold and snow... don't get me started.
BTW... Welcome to the forums.

Most dealers are limited to few options. I'd look/ask around and find a good tire shop around you. Make sure they are good reputable shop. Don't just walk in any place. Usually a bad decision.
You really have to to see what your needs. If you have snow and winter than Nokian WR is a good tire. It is really good in winter and good other conditions.
Personally I have no experience with Hankook so I can't help you with that.
You can try Michelin Pilot also.
Hope this helps a little.

I had Michelin Hydroedge on my last car, a '99 Chrysler 300M and I could go just anywhere in the snow with that car. They wore well and rode smooth and running them hard (35lbs) made the car handle nicely. So, when I needed tires for my 35X, that's what I got. We'll find out this first winter how the AWD and Hydros work together.
Did I mention that they are reasonably priced also?

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S all the way. The have a stiff sidewall and are excellent in the wet as well as dry. I've used them before and will go back to them once my OEM tires go bald. The have a 500 treadwear rating with AA traction and A temperature ratings. They are pricey but worth the price.

Can anyone give some feedback on how the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus handle in snow, am struggling to decide whether I go with the Michelins over the winter combo of MB 7X rims with Falken Eurowinter 439's I purchased today from dtd.com
Tommorrow I need to call back as I need A/S rubber for my RDX as well and they are swinging me a great deal on either combo, but will the Michelin Pilot Sport Plus handle snow relatively decent on a G35x???
Hoping for some quick feedback by tommorrow!

T6: Those eagle GTs were replacements for ?? RSAs? I have 2007 G35X, with 22k on the clock, RSAs, very good when they were new. But since 16-18K miles, ride deteriorated a lot. Now with cold weather here in the North east, they ride hard... Is it the compound in the rubber at certain mileage on the tire. if I remember correctly, I had the same RSAs on a 1998 Pontiac GP, same thing....they became very hard riding at about 18k miles.. Other replacement ideas to consider?
