Need help buying winter tires
Contacted the Infiniti dealer and they informed me that it won't be a problem if the TPMS sensor is on during the mandatory maintainence.
On a side note, I ordered a wheel and tire package from Tire rack. They best thing is the tires come mounted on the wheels so all I'll have to do is take of the old wheels and put the new ones on. I bought a set of Firestone Winterforce Winter tires and a set of Sport Edition F2 and they should be here tomorrow some time...gotta love UPS ground shipping which is turning out to be just 2 days.

Now you jinxed yourself, next car ride it'll be on, happens to me every winter.... lol.... the car needs to be diven for more than like 15 minutes at one time (not total) I think for it to recognize the missing sensor.... makes you feel good if you blow a tire out eh? you could be shredded and riding a rim for 20 miles and think you are OK since your light isnt on... j/k
One thing i noticed about the TPMS in my Camry... i had the factory wheels (w/TPMS) sitting in the garage, and aftermarket wheels (w/o TPMS) on the car, when I started up the car in the morning, the sensors must have been detected by the car, even though they're not on the car. My commute was pretty short (12 miles up and back), the warning light never came on. But if I drove 30-40 miles from home, the warning light would come on. The next morning, they'd be off again. Go figure.
