so I think its that time for new tires. I loved the Nitto invos up until a thousand miles ago or so when they started get really noisey. ive had them rotated and balanced properly and on schedule. Ive been running 225/45/19 on oem coupe 19 fronts all the way around. Im thinking about going with the 245/40/19s now. the tires I have it narrowed down to (i think) are the

having read up some more info since i posted in the above thread, i lean towards Hankooks for my next tires.

 

I just put hankook v12 evo 275's in the back. I must say it grips like crazy even though the tires haven't broken in yet. Just keep in mind the v12 evo's have thick sidewalls so it pops out of the wheels a little bit

 

Hi I've recently changed mine to Hankooks too I'm not sure if they're V12 but I think they are, they're the more expensive ones.

Anyway as far as handling so far they've been good actually, I was surprised at first but I figured they were new. Now that they have broken in it's easy to get it to slid with VDC off but when they were new it was very hard and would hardly slip.

I know switching the VDC off is no way of comparing handling differences but it's just my method. Overall they've been good and haven't slipped much with the VDC on. Hope this helps

 

I've been driving on Hankook's for over 7K miles now. Good grip, good price, good noise level, sidewall is just too soft for my liking. My next tire will be Falken FK452 or Toyo T1R.

The more i drive on the V12's, the more i, too, think the sidewalls are a little soft. Some complain about the 452's having soft sidewalls, but those that i used had steel-reinforced sidewalls and you could feel it near the limit. The V12's have better overall traction, however.

 

Anyone have experience with General Exclaim UHP's?
I'm planning on getting a set since they're the only ones that come in 235/35/20's.
I've heard they're pretty good tires and since I'm not tracking the car, I don't mind if they aren't the greatest track tires.

 

They're pretty good dd tires, had them on my Maxima.

 

continental tire has some new tires that fit our cars 19s ExtremeContact DW performance summer time with a 340 tread wear rating and are not too expensive here is a tire rack link

hmm i did the same thing the same day. i replaced 245-45 with 275-40 18" to protect the 9.5" rim. the 245's exposed too much rim. they are as quiet is the 245's (kuhmo ecsta) but omg do they look aggresive!

 

well just had my tires looked at and it looks like I am at 8/32 tread on the tires...i dont believe it. i dont think i have much longer on my Nittos.

I just got hankooks. I have only driven about... 500km on them, but I like em. I cant say I can give much feedback yet.. but they feel like they grip well.

My beef with the Falkens was the horrid vibration I got at highway speeds.. :S I HATED IT.

 

so what you're saying is, you can feel when the 452's are going to give out better than the V12's, but the V12's will hold their grip in a hard turn better than the 452's?
