Any other tire size for g35xs wheels ???

Hi..guys,

I have g35x but i have the g35xs wheels. As you know, wheels are 18x7.5 and

tire sizes are 225/50/18. However, is there any other size i can upgrade??

Like 235/45/18 or 225/45/18. Please give me any advices and tell me if i am

wrong with fitment for that size. Thank you.

tire rack shows what width wheels are needed for the tires your buying, and google a tire size calculator if you want to ensure your what the speedo error will be or if you want to match OEM size, it'll also show you how much more or less you'll fill your wheel wells in cause you care about the change in that appearance.

I had a similar question as well, but purely based on 235's and any rubbing issues. Anyone have an issue?

OK, I have the xS and it seems the other options are 235/50 and 245/45. I'm really leaning towards the 245 but many say this will create a "tire bulge" on the 7.5" rim. I can't seem to find what it would look like? Any help?

will the 245/45 increase fender gap making it look more 4x4ish on stock suspension?
The 235/50 should fill the wheel well better but make the 18" rims look smaller since it has more sidewall.... I hope I'm understanding this correctly.

You can't go 245/45 on the stock rims, wheels to narrow,, imo,, u could maybe go 235/50,, but i wonder if you will actuallly use all the tread width... On mine ,, i just went with new 0Z wheels 18x8 with 245/45 w rated Kuhmo's exact same diameter,, and a nice contact patch upgrade.....

Yea, I like the stock sport rims and I don't feel like paying for aftermarket. I thought 7.5" was the smallest width for 245? I'm just concerned about what possible bulge would happen and what it would look like. Also I kind of think the rims have an OZ look to them!

I think most people have gone with 235/50/18s

Yea I think that's what I'm going to go with. Plus, I think it will look "fuller" with a bit more side wall and fill some of the wheel gap! Now, on to search for the best ones...

Those look bad ***. Do people usually recommend buying online and saving money? I see them on discount tire for $748 for the set. Maybe I can find a better deal locally? I've always went into a goodyear or firestone for my previous car.

I have an xS too and was just about to post the same question. With the 235's on the stock 18 inch (7.5) rims, there is no buldge, correct?

There are pictures of 235/50 on 18x7.5 here https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-gen...r-corners.html

I really want to know what 245/45 would look like.

I'm giving 235/50 a second thought. It's about 1" larger than stock wheel diameter. Will it hinder acceleration a little bit? But it should give better mileage and better handling with a wider tread correct?

I'm really thinking the trade offs aren't worth it if my xS feels slower with larger tires. Its hard to put the numbers into actual performance

Hunh??
What is your stock diameter? If they're 225/55-17, then the 235/50-18's will only be about .6" taller. If you mean 235/50-17's then it's .4" shorter. EIther is less than 2% deviation.
