Question What would be the cause of loose front end

I don't know if it is my imagination but after switching my winters off and going back onto the RSA's I notice the steering feels light but more importantly it feels unstable on bumpy roads, hit a bump and the wheels seem to want to move side to side. On a smooth level road it maintains its line quite well so I don't think it is alignment. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this could be? Is it alignment issue or is it the CV jointsor something loose or broken OR is it simply the crappy RSA's which maybe have another 5-6K kilometres before they are toast. Any thoughts? Thanks.

if this started to happen only after changing your tires then i would say it is the dieing RSA's thats causing that, i doubt it could be the CV but you can check that pretty easily by sliding under the car or having the mechanic check it out when you get your next oil chnage. But if you havent had an alignment in over a year i would get my alignment checked out as well.

What kind of tire pressures are you running?

I was running around 34 psi on the fronts and 32 on the backs. I tried backing it off to 30 psi all round to see if it would make a difference and it didn't

Have you ever done alignment?

Alignment can be way off and not cause tire wear.
(wear & tear, pot holes etc)

Im going to say its the crappy RSA's. The sidewall on those tires are very soft. I had them on a car a while back and they were just downright dangerous with any kind of driving aside from maw maw point A to point B driving style.

Thanks Guys, The RSA's don't have too much life on them maybe 5 to 8K kilometres left and are well rounded (new tires sometime in August based on how much I drive). Provided it doesn't hurt the front end too much I will probably just get the alignment when I get the new tires installed. I'm looking at some 18 X 7.5 rims off another G35 to replace the 17"rims I have. Would 235\ 45 be the best tire for that rim in your opinion? Would it work without any interferance on the G35x? Anyone have some good or bad experience with various brands of 18" tires. I WILL NOT BUY RSA's. Cheers.
