Just got these tires based on this recommendation, bought from tirerack and installed at firestone on 75th and wornall.

BEST. TIRES. EVER.

Traction: 9/10 (compared to KDW2)
Treadwear: 11/10 (50000 mile warranty, what?)
Wet: 10/10
Snow: n/a (9/10 from tirerack)
Noise: 11/10 (seriously these things are silent)

1000 or so, but that would be comparable to like 3500-5000 for most people.

Just a quick update: they lost their balance after around 100 miles. I'm guessing they were slightly out of round when mounted. After 100 miles or so, rounding out, two of four tires needed to be rebalanced. Not sure if that's common or really considered a problem, but it was an annoyance.

Update again after MASSIVE SNOW (6in+). These tires do very well for an all season, i have never had snow tires, but these must be just shy of them if not equal. ABS only kicked on once because i made it (making sure it was still there) stopped on a 15+ degree incline from 25-0 in about 60 ft.

These tires are a godsend for those of us who dont want to be switching tires every season. I cant believe i can drag race (admittedly not like DR's)and drive in snow on the same tires haha!

Props to you continental!

Mileage: 6466
Traction: 8.5/10 (compared to KDW2)
Treadwear: 11/10 (50000 mile warranty, what?)
Wet: 10/10
Snow: 9/10
Noise: 13/10 (seriously these things are silent, dead silent)

I put these on my GF's Mazda 3s which came with Goodyear Eagle RSA's. I had a bad experience driving the RSA's in the snow, I figured front wheel drive, we're good to go....wrong! They were horrid, so I switched to these for the best of all worlds.

Snow and wet performance is amazing, however her car bounces A LOT now, its borderline dangerous on the highway hitting expansion joints or bumps going around bends. She also went off pavement on the back roads one night and the edge of the pavement sliced right through the sidewall (there is no woven steel in the sidewall, just thin rubber).

I'm not trying to rain on your parade. I was actually thinking of getting a set for my G at one point and am very happy you shared some extremely fine photos, they look pretty nice those tire sizes came out really well. If you dont get any bouncing then you got a nice set-up there. They are basically the equivalent of performance rated snow tires except you can keep them on in the summer too.

So, do you get any bouncing? B/c if you don't I might reconsider them for the G.

PS: Your Potenza's were just hitting their prime, you could've milked many more miles outta them (although no snow driving with them).

I love these tires, i have them on my coupe. They look terrible, but they handle great in this wet Pacific Northwest weather.. I'm still waiting for snowfall to see how they handle..

I put a set on my wife's TL. 11k mi and hardly any noticeable wear.
Friend put a set on his CTS-V just before we hit The Tail of the Dragon. He was impressed at how well they handled.

When my originals wear down, these are what I'm going with.

Ok, so I had a road trip in my GF's car this weekend and the DWS's were bouncing around like mad. Totally dangerous at highway speed, especially during mid-turn.

I let some pressure out, down to 30 psi but no help. The fact that nobody else has this issue leads me to believe I can remedy it with changing the pressure around.

(This is not a G, its my gf's Mazda 3s)

Great set up. I looking into switching to the DWS when winter comes. I hear great things about this tire except for the softer sidewalls. But I think it will work just fine for a UHP-All season tire.
