I need sways badly !!!! the Coil aint enough~~~

so any updated information about hotchkis sway bars for the X (AWD)
After a fun cruise, i think i really need a set(front and rear) sways to balance off the coilover to take some corners on high speed..( or maybe some fun track run, not hardcore)

The car is more stable after the coil (BC and set stiffness as 20 ) but when i take corners with certain speed ( after my fd's 37 coupe with hotchkis and OEM suspension) My X seems too heavy to take them and lean way more that i expected.

Im not a street racer, but i do love to take some "private road, country side" rather than the main road for cruising, in which I can try out my car without bothering anyone on the roads. However, my X isnt ready to go for anything without a set of sways..

so any one or any brand could help ???

THANKS

Get a rear stillen sway bar i hear those help out a lot but you'd have to contact Stillen directly to get the bar because they normally sell them in sets for the front and rear but the fronts won't fit our "X" model.

well my friend has the rear only, it's ok if u go for 90 km to a corner, but im talking about 140+ for slight 10-40 angle. so the front is really really important to get in and stay close..

but thanks for the advice ^^

I'd love to know of a front sway bar that fits our car too man I really hate the way the car has so much understeer and body roll.

Eibach just released a front and rear adjustable sway bar kit for the V36/Z34 cars and are now working on the AWD models. It's not gonna be long before you guys get F/R adjustable sways

Have you tried stiffening it up some? 20 out of 30 clicks is rather soft. Remember with the BC's, 0 is full stiff, 30 is full soft.

yea i set at 20 turned from the hard side..

well i think the springs are too soft for our cars... since our Gx are kinda heavy...
my friend took a video from behind and i could tell that if the corner is 1 sec longer, i would hit the curb for sure.

+ i already run -2.8/-3.4 neg cam, in which they already helped a bit when i took the turns ..

20 from the hard side would make that rather soft, no? That's what i have mine set for DD right now. When i first installed it, it was at 15 and the ride was significantly stiffer.

Good luck on the sways, that will certainly help, albeit at the expense of a stiffer ride.

OK, I have G35x '07 and a month ago I installed the rear sway bar (with the bushings) from the RWD G and the new bar is really thicker.

The car feels so MUCH better everywhere, more stable, predictable, etc. But it's just me. The negatives could be that it feels now like a RWD car with a little bit soft front... Hope Eibach adjustable sway for AWD will eliminate this problem. BTW, front sway on AWD is thicker than RWD!

p.s. I have GTSpec front strut bar and it helps a little, but not AS much as the sway from the RWD.

if u like takin turns with ur X, U should look into Strut bar, if u dont have one...
I didnt believe in it, Thought mine didnt make much of difference, till i drove my friends X without a strut bar. I had his car sideways on every turn. Chirpin tires... Im currently runnin GTspec.

look into front strut, rear sways. u should be alright. How wide are your tires?

yes im with GT spec too ..
well... its ok for normal driving and decent turning, maybe i tried to push too hard.

since i was following my fd's G37s coupe with only sway bars on, I think i should be fine with the coil and strut to follow exactly the same lines he passed through, but I couldnt, since my X rolled way too much to stay close ( in control).

Im running all 245/35/20 toyo on.

i was on this kind of roads, and similar angles ( some stiffer)

Hope there's a brand come up a set for us "AWD" buddies
BTW the eibach is kinda pricy comparing to hotchkis

well.. i meant turn 20 to the hard, not from.. sorry my mistake.. lol.
