New tires for staggered wheels

I have a 2007 G35 sedan with the Perf. Tire Package. Wheels/tires: 18x7.5; 225/50/18 front, 18x8.5/45/18 rear. As you know it's hard to find a matching set of tires because of the odd front size. I've come up with a couple options and just wanted to get everyone's feedback on them. I'm also open to suggestions!

1) Install 245/45/18 tires all around. Will the added width on the fronts noticeably degrade handling?

2) Buy a set of 18x8.5 stock rims and put them on the front. Then the 245/45/18 tires can fit better in the front wheels and all wheels now can be rotated. Again, will the added width in front degrade handling/performance?
