^funny thing is; the Strong strut guy makes them for the FX, but not the G.
I tried planting a seed with him, but I think I over fertilized.

Very welcome. Hey, look on the bright side. You can probably still sell your GTS, buy the CS and pocket some of the proceeds!

My GT spec brace rubs the hood liner more than that so I don't think that is much of an issue. The alutec just seems so much more solid on the ends and flat out looks better.
Thanks Glad to know it's clearing enough on top and bottom. Come to think of it, i remember on the old car not only would it rub on the liner, but the engine itself (the name escapes me), eventually wore out a notch on the bar.

I always thought the same of the GTS design, which is rather common across various makes and models. I guess its done mostly because it's the fastest and most affordable way to build it. I really like your 4-point design. Is there even a place to do such a thing inside the G's engine bay? That would certainly be nice.

I'll keep an eye out for any movement on the mounting holes. Good point about that being the weak point.

I came from the school of thought that strut bars in general don't do much especially on an already somewhat stiff chassis like the G's, but i guess the solid design has something to do with it.

There's noticeably less understeer and the front-end just feels "flat" and "solid". The car seems to be tracking straighter without having to correct it as much and I can literally feel the shocks working by itself rather than working with the chassis to absorb bumps (i.e. less harsh). It's akin to how having a thick sway feels, not exactly, but similar. There's also none of the slight creak i get when entering the two driveway ramps (at an angle) i frequent daily.

Will this fit an 07 G35? Product description says it fits 2008-2009G37, but I thought 07 and 08 G35's were the same and the G37 didn't come out until 09.

Have you considered removing your hood liner so it doesn't rub?

Welcome. Let me know if you'd rather have measurements and i'll try to get those for you instead.

Definitiely, i have an '07 G35S (sedan). A lot of V36 parts are interchangeable between the sedan and coupe.

Yep, but it really doesn't bother me. I did that test since i knew of others with the GT-Spec who mentions it on other threads, and there have been a lot of chatter about how bad the fitment is on the CS bar, so i figured a small test wouldn't hurt, and shed some light on the subject

That looks great Mike! Thanks for all the photos and comments. I'll probably pick one of these up down the road.

Just a heads up - I received my bar today from FRSport and it looks slightly different from the one you have pictured. There is no "Alutec" badge and no part number sticker. It also doesn't have the three small holes drilled on the ends. Aside from those minor differences, it looks like it's the same bar. I actually prefer it without the Alutec logo. I haven't tried installing it yet, but will report back once I do.

^ very interesting, do keep us posted, the minor differences should not matter as long as they sent you the right bar that fits, which site did u order from?
