Will this Wilwood kit fit my X 08'?

Wilwood says that it doesn't fit AWD models. But at the same time it fits 2009-2011 Nissan 370Z
2009-2011 Infiniti G37

What do you guys think??

This kit will fit the X because the suspension is different not the brake system, but I would be careful ordering these type of things from eBay. Maybe you can find a vendor on here that can get you that same price.

If they say it fits on those cars, it will likely fit in yours.

Curious though, other than being able to use smaller wheels and the two additional pistons, why get this over the Akebono's? Are you tracking or for show?

p.s. Make sure they built this specifically for our cars, or your bias will be out of whack.

I think the bias will be out of whack no matter what (assuming the rear brake stays stock), with a 6 piston in the front and the oem in the rear.

Unless one SERIOUSLY tracks the car (auto-x), IMO this kit is overkill.

I don't want to go with Akebono because of my winter 17" setup. Not more here in winter...
I'm not tracking.....I just got Vossens CV1 20" and my stock brakes are looking pure now.....
I want to go with this kit more for show, and I don't think that there will be any problems with oem in the rear. Or I am mistaken?

Are you sure your 17" wheel will clear the Wilwood caliper?

Willwood says that this kit fits 17" wheels. Maybe I'll need some spacers.

You'd probably want to find a template for the caliper to check the spacing on your wheels before you decide on buying the kit.

Okay, the way i see it.

- From the center of your wheels mounting surface (the part that touches the hub), measure 7.46" + 0.15" to the outside, that's the absolute minimum you will need to clear your wheels inner barrel, i suggest adding another 0.25" for proper clearance, possibly more if you foresee wheel weights being in the way.

- Again, from the same area, measure out 4.53" and 7.46" towards the barrel. Mark them as point A and B respectively. This is the height of the caliper. From both points, measure out towards the spoke by 1.01". This will determine if the caliper will clear the wheel spokes.

Finally got an answer from Wilwood. According to them, the AWD uses a half shaft set up where the conventional RWD uses a strut, totally different.

Thats what I got from reseller....
Guys, my english is not so good, so can you explain to me what does wilwood mean in this answer? Why will not this kit fit AWD??
Thanks.

C'mon guys.....help))
Another answer from reseller...

A half shaft is used on the front of cars as a replacement to a spindle. It is similar to independent rear suspension:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_shaft

In the listing, on the diagram that shows how the kit goes together, it shows "STOCK SPINDLE/HUB". Wilwood is saying that the 2008 G35 doesn't have a spindle that looks like that.

Here is the giagram..
http://wilwood.com/PDF/DataSheets/ds763.pdf

page 4

Will it fit or not????

All i'll say is this.

They say their kit fits on the G37.

The G37 brakes fit on our G35's.

The Akebono's fit on both cars, including the X.

Looking at their kit, there's nothing special about it that i can see. So i don't see why it shouldn't fit.
