Rubber
Rubber
What are you guys using these days? Apparently whomever had my car before me was the Texas drift king because at 26K I've got nothing left in the rear and almost brand new rubber up front.
Need to buy new rear rubber this week, but not sure whats hot these days.
Drive a ton of highway miles for work, so won't be able to get the best performance tire out there.

Need an all season tire, although I assume winters aren't that bad here in OK. Only lived here two weeks so I really don't know.
It all depends on what you're wanting to do. If you plan on buying some aftermarket wheels get a performance summer tire and then change back to your stock wheels/tires in the winter. If you don't then yes, you will want to look for a dependable all season. I'm not a big fan of the stock Goodyear RS-A's but I"m sure you feel the same way. Keep asking, there should be some guys on here who run stock wheels/tires all year round and can give some insight into good all seasons.

+1 on the v12's I love these babies. However the rebate does not apply, the deal ended on June 30th.
hankook v12s. thats what i run. you live in texas, you dont need an all season tire, those are the best for the money from what ive found. if its the stock tires (Bridgestone RE050As) up front you want to keep the tires the same class i.e summer tire vs All season. the Bridgestones are summer tires, and have a 220 treadwear rating. if you get an allseason in back they are going to be alot harder tire, probably a 500+ treadwear rating. this could have adverse handling effects.

Time out!! Greenlawnracing, you're in the '07-'08 sedan section, so I assume you either own a Sport or non-Sport RWD sedan. On a sport, you would expect to need new tires at 26k, because of the previously mentioned RE050A's 220 treadwear rating. If the previous owner put on something ridiculous like a tire with a 500 treadwear rating, I'd seriously consider selling those tires, because they don't match your vehicle. I replaced my OE tires with a Sumitomo HTR ZIII, a max performance summer tire with a treadwear rating of 300, because I wanted to spend a little less and get better wear while keeping within the category. The Sumitomo's and some others require you to go 10mm wider, but they have the same diameter and actually look better on the rear wheels.
Since then the Bridgestone 760 Sport became available in the OE sizes, a step down in the performance category and a treadwear rating of 340 - it seems like a good option.
If your car is a non-Sport - never mind. By the way, I would disregard any advice that doesn't include the tire model, such as "buy Continental". I'm sure Continental makes good tires and bad tires, so the advice doesn't help you.

I run Dunlop Sport Signatures and have 20k thus far and look like they'll go another 15k at least. They've been great tires w/ very good grip for an all-season, they blow the RS-As to shreds. These are on 20" rims though, not sure if the 17 or 18" tires will hold the road as well, but on the 20s they're awesome.
