Eibach pro kit lower the front only on g35x? Skip the rear?

Hi All,

I bought a 2007 G35x a month ago. It's still 100% stock. When I measure from the top of stock 17" rim to the lip on the front of the car, it's 7" exactly. On the rear of the car it's 6.5".

The car has new hankook 225/55-17 V4 on the rear, and bald ones on the front. I'm leaning toward buying two new front tires, and the eibach pro kit at the same time, and letting the dealer shop install both.

However, I don't have enough cash to buy the STP rear camber kit. So I'm tempted to "stagger" the install.

Has anyone just installed the front spring kit, and left the rear alone? If the drop specifics are accurate, my front should be around a 6" distance from rim to lip, and the rear at 6.5".

Since there is already a 1/2" difference between the two, it doesn't seem like it would matter to the VDC. I've only seen the VDC flash a few times in spirited driving. HOwever what i don't want to have happen is the AWD system to get confused and start kicking in the front tires more than it needs.

Thoughts? And if anyone measured their stock gap on the G35x w/ 17" rims, I'd like to know. It feels like mine is much higher than the stock photos I've seen.

*bump*

No one's lowered just the front? Or do you all just go straight to coilovers?

I have 370Z springs on the front of my G35x. About .85" lower than stock. I didn't want to go LOW after my old BMW, which hit every tiny thing on the road.

Rears are stock, though I may do the "spring mount mod" to drop about 3/8" to level it out a bit.

Before you decide, you should find out the difference in spring rates between the stock and the eibach

^ the car in the link has done everything right with the blacked out lights, emblemless grill, quad exhaust, drop and yet the wheels look hideous for his setup!

Would you happen to have any side-profile shots of the front-drop only?
