Need ANOTHER brake job-HELP!
My 2003 G35 is on it's 3rd set of brakes and it looks like it's time for the 4th.
The deal and my mechanic both say the factory rotors can't be turned so they both want to do rotors, and pads.
Except for the first replacement my rotors always look fine. Are they full of it or do I need to do the whole shebang?
Is there an aftermarket set of rotors which will last more than one set of pads?
I can live with a little less stopping power, I've got a racer, this is a grocery getter.

Funny thing is, they both say stock rotors can't be turned.
I'm kinda old school and used to get away with replacing pads on my old *** Alfas without even touching the rotors.
I always turned my v8 Chevy truck rotors, but they lasted forever.
Can I just throw pads on? I'm due to have the brakes done based on the mileage of the other three changes, but no noise or marks on the rotors (yet), so they should be ok.
If I need new rotors, I would like to get some that can be turned once or twice. Was looking at stock or the cryo's but info notes don't mention if they can be turned.
Do ceramic pads really last longer and have less dust?
Although everything is relative, I've been in sand storms with less dust than the stock pads.

I've yet to find anyone local who can turn x-drilled rotors and be happy with the results. If you stay away from x-drilled, I don't see why you would have an issue unless they are below min. thickness.
Yes ceramic makes less dust. It's very noticeable if you details your car often (yourself) Last longer? not sure.
