Struts and Shocks with Lowering Spring

I can't seem to find a good answer, or where to get, some good struts/shocks with after market springs.

I am about to drop with H&R springs and want to replace the suspension as well, while I am at it. I have read that Tokico are good and 20% stiffer than stock, but I have had NO luck finding anything that fits my car, '07 G35S Sedan.

Any recommendations on good setups and where to pick some up? I don't feel like spending a grip on coilovers...

However, the following post claims that on the front, the drop is 1/2" LESS because the bottom bolt to spring perch distance is greater. That would be a deal breaker!

Good info! Thank you.

I may stick with my first plan then, KYB's. Just want to find something a bit stiffer than the stock sport suspension to match up with the new H&R springs.

Think I am settling on H&R springs with the Tokico Blues.

Will post up pics and a review after install.

Update:

New Tokico struts are installed with the H&R spring and SPC camber kits (front & rear)

So far the ride quality has been great. It certainly has the bouncier feeling of lowered springs, but the car overall feels much more communicative and confident.

It's hard to determine the impact of the Tokico's as I did everything at once, but the dampening seems to be right now. A big improvement over stock sport suspension.

With the SPC camber kit I was able to get back into spec on alignment without an issues. I did not need to install the rear toe bolts.

If I can answer any questions for others thinking of doing this, ask... or shoot me a PM.

AWESOME!!! So the Tokico Blues do not raise the front at all? I have Eibach and all it needs right now is a little more damping.

If they do, it isn't noticeable. I am still sitting pretty flush in front.

I picked mine up here: http://www.b2autodesigns.com/product...oducts_id=3817

@mishmosh...you can use Koni Yellows as they have dampening adjustability, they just came out with Koni Yellow shocks for V36's

I definitely would like to get KONI's. Have them on my WRX and had them on my Maxima. They are awesome shocks in my opinion and you almost never hear of them blowing--very durable. I still am bothered by sedan users reporting that coupe struts in front raised the front 1/2" because of the distance between the lower spring perch and the bottom of the strut is 1/2" longer.

Not a problem with my Tokico HP Blues.

I am currently running H&R sport springs with Tokico HP struts on my 08 sedan. IMO the height increase up front is noticeable. However with the H&R springs, it basically just evened out ride height a lil more. H&R tends to lower the front more than the rear. So pairing them up w/ the Tokico's actually gave a nicer more even drop.

I am pretty happy with the ride so far. Definitely a firmer tighter feel and with a bit more feedback from the road which I like. I will be upgrading to coilovers soon though. I want to go lower.
