New rotors and brake pads recommendations

07 G35x

I may need to change my OEM pads and rotors soon, any recommendations? My criteria are as follows:

Brake pads:
- Low brake dust
- Long life if possible
- Daily driven, not planning to track or autocross with my car, so the most stopping power is not a priority

Brake rotors:
- The lightest one if possible
- Looks not a priority, but slotted would be nice
- Reasonable costs
- Carbon ceramics? lol

Thanks in advance!

brakes and rotors

Tire rack has Hawk Ceramic pads and Stoptech rotors which will meet your specs. I have the pads on my G35x. Very low dust.

We carry Centric Premiums or Centric Powerslots, your choice, the powerslots will be a little more expensive than the Premiums.

We also carry the Hawk Ceramic Pads that will provide you with what you are looking for which is low dust, low noise.

PM for special new vendor pricing.

Haha I was just getting on here to post about how helpful you were and that so far this is the best experience I have had from a vendor I have located on a forum.

KNS,

I'm interested in a similar setup for my '07 G35x sedan, could you explain the difference between the Hawk HPS and PC as far as performance and NVH are concerned? I had Hawk LTS with PowerSlots on my truck, and they were smooth and quiet, should I expect similar performance/noise from the HPS pads? If there is no noticeable drop-off in performance and the ceramics are quieter and produce less dust, I'd likely go with those over the HPS.

Anyway, if you have any insight on those, I'd appreciate it, and if you could send me a quote with options of Centric Premiums vs. PowerSlot and Hawk HPS vs. PC pads front and rear for my car, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on new brakes.

Thanks,

Kevin
