Akebono BBK install clarifcation

Working on putting together a Akebono BBK upgrade on my 2008 G35 Journey Sedan. I’ve already been running G37s 19” oem stock wheels for several years so they should clear without any issue. I purchased a set, (front and rear), Akebono used calipers and oem brake lines from a G37S. I also have the bolts and old pads that came with calipers. For the install, I have purchased R1 Concept drilled rotors and Posi Quiet Ceramic pads (front and rear). Not looking to do any track days, just want a little upgrade and mostly for the looks.

I have read many of the post for the Akebono install, but still need to clarify a few things.

Below are a questions I have:
Any problem with running the 19” OEM wheels. I read others use spacers, is this for 18’s?

Dust shields, one post stated the fronts are not that hard to change, but the backs are a PITA, to cut/Trim the back. Best place to buy, (On-line, Nissan or Infiniti dealer)?Comments-

Any issue using the stock brake lines. I know the stainless is a firmer pedal and less flex, and I installed a set many years ago on a Porsche I had, but trying to keep it simple?

What brake fluid are most using? Again no track plans, just due for a change with the install.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Bill

Send a PM to Soundmike, he'll know what you need.
Wheels shouldn't be a problem since they're the 19" from an S. If yo9u have any doubts you can pull one and use these F&R templates

You'll need new brake lines, unless you meant the stock lines that came w/ the Akebonos, not the lines that are currently hooked to your non-S setup.

blnewt,
Thanks for the response. I'll pm Souondmike for his input and yes I did mean using the OEM stock lines that came with the Akebono calipers.

You'll have no problems with 19's..

Trimming the dust shields is a piece of cake, scissors will even do the trick.

You will need universal stainless lines for the installation. If you need a link let me know.

Fluid doesn't matter all personal preference.
