2007 G35 Sedan K sport Coilovers. HELP!!
2007 G35 Sedan K sport Coilovers. HELP!!
My car is a 2007 G35 Journey RWD.
So I purchased some K sport Coil Overs a couple months back and since had them set aside. Purchased from ebay brand new. So I actually go to install the fronts first today and notice once I take off my wheel and start to compare the two shocks that the bottom mounts are different?. Did I get the wrong set sent to me? any help is appreciated. Thanks

This is indeed a very confusing aftermarket industry when they can't get it right. Our 07-08 G35 Sedan is always lost in the mix. Unfortunately many aftermarket parts simply say they're for "2007 G35", and they don't explain it means coupe only.
The truth is that very few manufacturers understand the fitment differences between the different G35 generations, and even less so with the retailers. I went through the exact same scenario you did when buying aftermarket shocks for the first time. I found that the fronts had the fork design which isn't for our G37-style suspension. Our 2007-2008 G35 Sedans are essentially the same suspension used on 2008+ G37's. The front lower shock mount on our Sedans are not the fork style, they use the normal bushing style.
Be aware that while the rears you have look compatible, there will actually be a different part number for the ones that work with the G37/V36 platform, so be sure to send all four back.
The vendor with the most knowledge on compatibility for our Sedans is Kyle at www.importpartspro.com
We just go through him for everything now... and his customer service is the best I've found.

To avoid confusion I will sometimes specify parts for 2008 g35 sedan. Less chance of mixing the car up with a 2007 g35 coupe. The fact that the product label specifically says 2007 sedan rwd is a pretty shameful error on the manufacturers part.
