07 G35x swift spring poor ride quality fix?
07 G35x swift spring poor ride quality fix?
Everyone,
At about 65,000 I installed swift springs with new KYB GR2 shock all around and I am running on 18" rims. The ride height is perfect but living in Illinois our roads are for ****.
I purchased the swift since most post said it was very close to stock, well in my experience it is no where close, it about rattles my teeth loose when hitting a larger bump.
Would installing coil overs with damping provide a better ride quality or should i just go back to stock height and deal with the gap?
Look for any suggestions.

That's pretty odd because I have Swifts on my 07 with kyb running sport 19s and I think it's very close to stock.
Anytime you change the ride height you sacrifice comfort that's with coils and springs. If your looking for a comfortable ride I suggest you stay stock height. My stock height was very comfortable but I couldn't deal with the height.

Did you use the stock bump stops? Sometimes it feels like it is hitting max compression, but again our road are so bad that even in my wife Subaru Forester some of the common bumps we drive over are pretty rough.
I can tell you this, from around 2010 or so i was on Eibach's springs, stock struts and shocks, Absolutely loved the look, especially with my OZ summer wheels and tires, but early last year i went back to stock because i never really liked the ride. The Eibach's just overpowered the stock dampers on almost all the roads I drove on. even had adjustable upper control arms for some camber adjustment, and the tires wore fine, car tracked real good! but that ride, on certain bumps, I finally got sick of it and went back to stock! and of course i needed two new front struts, cause they both developed leaks. I have taken 2 road trips now with stock ride height , and I had forgotten how fabulous the car drove, and rode! especially in winter, its lots more fun now in the snow! Yes Infiniti got the ride height look better with the Q sedan's, but I'm gonna live, and love my car all stock now.

I'm sure I still have my stock springs if you want them for cheap (I can check if need be) . Also sell your Swifts to recoup some of your money back

I ordered a pair of 30mm shock and spring spacers for the rear end of my X, will balance the fender gap out a bit, 20mm would be almost perfect, but I can't find that size spacer anywhere.
