The included instructions are generic to make shipping and handling possible. If we had to package each individual module with specific instructions it would be a nightmare. If we included specific instructions for EVERY vehicle that the module is compatible with then the instructions would be 25 pages long. You won't find many products on the market that is compatible with 20+ vehicles that comes with detailed installation instructions for every vehicle.

Our answer to this is our support forum - a place where we can post detailed pictures and instructions and be as detailed as we need to be without making distribution a head ache.

For every car I install a module on I make a detailed DIY and post in the forum. I do realize that we are missing quite a bit of cars, but I simply don't have access to a wide range of vehicles. It has nothing to do with spending time on writing or organizing the stuff (and I spent about 4 hours putting together the stuff for the 2007 sedan) it simply comes down to having the car in front of us to perform the work.

For what it is worth, we have extremely detailed DIYs for both the window module and the Navi OK bypass module available online.

Thank you for your feedback.

thanks Kpierson for your quick reply. I did check out your support forums after I posted and I did find pretty detailed DIYs, and of course it's not necessary to pack all the instructions with the modules, I just meant they should be online somewhere.

Thanks to stafna for your post too.. seems like alot of people are happy with KP products, I'm keeping an eye on the other thread (https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...193408&page=12) and I will buy both modules once the nav-ok becomes available.. any update on when that will be?

Thanks again,
Rocaveli

I must appologize for the current form of our support forum. We're having all kinds of hosting problems and our forums are very, very slow. We've upgraded to a newer version of our forum software in an attempt to fix the problem, but it was to no avail. Our hosting company says it will be a few weeks before they can upgrade their hardware to fix our problem.

Looks like its time for yet another new host.

We haven't even ordered the circuit boards for the Navigation Interface yet, so it will be at least 6 weeks before they are available. We also want to verify that the modules work well with all of our testers.

The window modules are available for immediate shipping.

Just a heads up about the installation - there may be multiple wires of the same color in a harness, this is why the install instructions state that a voltage meter should be used to verify all wiring!

We believe our current sunroof module will work for the sedan, but I don't think anyone has installed it yet.

Just installed the Window Up Module on an '08 sedan and noticed the green wire from the module (door lock 5v connection) wires to the thick purple wire on the small 3-pin harness, rather than the thin purple wire on the large harness. I tried a few pins on the large harness with a volt meter before discovering this, so I wonder if the wiring is slightly different between the '07 and '08 door/lock assemblies?

Otherwise, Kevin's pictures and instructions in the first post are terrific and made for an easy install! Now so convenient to close those windows from a distance!
