So the only benefit from the Thermal heat wrap would be less rasp?

Yes, and some other stuff that i can't explain, for example take the exhaust pipes when it arrives and try hitting it with a spoon, you'll hear echo inside the pipe, wrap it with a piece of cloth and hit it again, you'll never hear anything, that's the whole idea, but since it's a hot thing, you need thermal heat wrap, don't wrap it with a cloth, it's just an example, or your car would catch fire and burn and explode .

Hmmm...that's not a bad idea...
Would thermal heat wrap reduce drone?

Hmmm...I'm not sure about drone, but maybe not, or maybe a little, but it's erease raspy exhaust sound, give me 5 days to recieve my exhaust and then test things out, but as Robby said, there is no drone/rasp at all, only tiny rasp when it's cold and it goes away in 2 minutes.

Can you give us a link to which thermal wrap you are using? Is it the one you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes?

It's probably safer to use one from Summit or Jegs, or the like. At least you know it's for automotive use, so it may/may not withstand the elements better than one designed for the home.

Just like you said, i got it from summit, here's a link:

I got the 100ft long since the Invidia pipes are long, so when i wrap it i'll see if the 100ft long Thermo-Tec wrap is enough or not, i got brand new 50ft long one here at home somewhere, i just have to dig it out, but i'm planning to use the 100ft long 1st.

Oh ok.
My FI exhaust has no rasp at all. Not even at a cold start. So I don't have that problem.
But the fact that I got the round mufflers gives me a bit of drone at lower speeds so I wouldn't mind getting rid of it somehow. Of course, without adding or changing anything on the exhaust.

Won't really matter, since all mods work together, so if you need to compare some exhaust, it should be done on a stock car.
Unless someone with a stock G35 get a some cat-backs and compare all of them, like making a report, but i think it's hard to be done, so i guess just get the exhaust based on the reviews.

Honestly I think exhaust is 100% about sound. I have heard a few clips of the invidia and they all sound raspy. Every FI I have heard has been deep and mellow.

Gains don't matter. I don't care if my
exhaust makes
20 rwhp if it sounds like *** I don't think o could ever put it on my car.

To each is own. Robbie's updated video clips shows no rasp. Mine still has rasp when the exhaust is cold, but like Robbie's my rasp is slowly going away. When warmed up, it sounds just as sexy as the FI exhaust. I wanted an FI exhaust for the longest, but couldn't justify spending $1200 on an exhaust. The Invidia was a good compromise.

My exhaust is not raspy anymore. Only in the morning for like 10 seconds lol

I love it sounds now and it actually got mellower and sounds fvcking aggressive now. I want it to be louder lmao
