Hmm On Stillen Site under 07-08 G35 Sedan page. I Looked at the Intakes Page, and seems there is an Upgrade Kit to the Long Tubes for us guy's with the Short Tubes. So Seems maybe we can buiy just the Tubes, Instead of Shelling out $500 more, which I think is Ludacris!! And Kinda makes me PI$$SED that they offer these now, While they said it was not needed because new Metal Tubes would get hot, and Lose HP's! Now they claim more Gains than with the Stock tubes! I'll call um tomorrow and be a bit Pissy about it to them, They should have told us guy's that bought the Short ram one, that they were making a new Kit that supposeldy makes more HP's! Sometimes seem like Stillen just wants our $$$$ and not being Informative to thier customers! If not I'll wait for newer Intakes from INJEN or others to come out with a much cheaper price!

I'm glad to see Stillen has been working so hard to release these instead of working to get out the rest of their product line for previous G35's to fit the 07+.

Eh...

Any word on the Injen CAI yet?

I'm usually pretty good at finding things online, but I have no idea how you guys find this stuff so quickly.

I think this got out yesterday, I happen to accidentally find it on G37driver forums, jaja. I am waiting on the Injen to see if it is worth it, but there is no information yet that I know of.

Well Called Stillen today. And to upgrade just the piping for guy's with the Short Intake system will be $144 for the two Chrome Tubes. Which Supposeldy yield 10HP overall with the Filters. Instead of just 6HP with the Short Intake System

So how many of you with the Stillen intakes will actually shell out another $144 for the other two chrome tubes?

Well All other Intakes use the same type of Tubes. So if suppsoedly found more HP's with these tubes, Don't think Heat soak would be a big problem? I know it may affect it a little bit, but I don't drive in Stop and go traffic everytime I drive my G to worry about Heat Soak. So Fujita, Injen, Stillen will all have Heat soak problems. But STILLEN Prices are Kinda Crazy HIGH $$$$$!!

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd drop in and give some insight as to why we started making the long tube intakes.

These have been designed and made due to demand. Alot of our customers informed us that they wanted to open the hood and see a nice long, polished intaked tube. When we initially designed the intake we tried designing it with long tube piping and found no significant power gain over the cold air intake box (we're talking gains of 1-2HP.) After we started getting customer demands for the long tube piping we went back to the drawing board. We ended up trying various size piping and we came up with a pipe size that would gain 4 HP over our short tube intake.

We still retain the cold air urethane boxes to isolate the air charge and only pull air from the front of the car. Plus that air does not come from anywhere inside the engine bay so you can be sure you are getting the coldest air possible. Some of the benefits to the urethane air box are;

It won't get as hot as a metal shield.
It is a perfect fit to the car which creates a nice seal to fully enclose the airbox.
It is very easy to install and assemble.

Hey Kyle,
Can we see the dyno sheets for the stock vs short tube vs long tube intakes? I am also curious why they are not posted on the site.

For you guys with the Stillen intakes installed....

Seriously, is there ANY noticable gains (using the seat of the pants meter) or is just a pretty sound?
Looking for honesty here.
