When you bought it through the GB...did you have to specify that it was a going on a sedan?

thanks terry. i was also looking at a BS g35, i think its yours, with and without HFC. there is a slight difference but cant really tell what the HFC sounds like since it had the fast intention exhaust. if indeed it was you, was it berk HFC or a different company.

(with HFC)

(without HFC)

Actually, they are two different cars. I guess it's kinda confusing since both cars are colored the same. You can tell the cars apart by the number of spokes on the wheels.

They both have Fast Intention's exhaust.

But ... mine does not have HFC's, B L U E S L A T E's does have HFC.

B L U E S L A T E has Fast Intentions High Flow Cats, not Berks. They should sound similar.

The tracking info says my cats will be here monday. I'll post up some pics and give an initial review of the quality of the pieces when they get in.

I'll have a sounds clip of HFC + stock exhaust eventually, but not before the GB is over.

wow, i didn't know that, so all the HR's 350z/g35/g37 uses the same cat dimensions, that's pretty cool

The BERK cats should come with a certificate that the exhaust shop can sign saying that your stock cats needed replacement for either damage or being missing. This should keep anyone from giving you too much trouble. The dealership may still look down on you for having them though and you run the risk of them blaming far reaching issues on the cats. This is pretty unlikely, but it's something to consider before purchase.

The cats should pass all sniffer tests though, and with the certificate you aren't breaking any emissions laws.

You will most likely pass inspection with no problems if all you do is swap the cats. If you do anything else, well... who knows.

And yeah, the dealer will most likely freak out if they put the car on the lift and notice the cats or any other part of the stock exhaust has been swapped out. But that's if they notice, which might be a big if.
