Nice. But ive never been a fan of the big canister exhaust, unless its on an sti or something like that. A big canister exhaust with huge tip on these cars just seems a little too "fast and furious" for me. Takes away from the classiness of the car i think.

+1.... I kinda like the look and sound of the factory exhaust... It has a deep growl on take off, and quiet at a cruise, what more can you ask for?

Couple of reasons:

a) I didn't want to be that ricer rolling around LA with an exhaust on a stock height car. I'm going to lower the car first and then put the exhaust back on.
b) I will be bringing it to the dealer shortly for some warranty work. I don't want to go through any hassle from the dealer for having a modded car.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but I think the G35 sedan could use a more aggressive exhaust. Subjectively, I think its one of the better looking kits out there, not to mention its a proven easy 5hp gain. The camera angles were used to accentuate the exhaust for HKS' website. When you are looking at the car from a normal standing height, it really does not look as bad, plus I'm sure after I lower the car, it wont stick out as much.

The tips are 115mm. I really think the pictures make them look bigger than they really are. The tips are the same size as the IS350, but smaller than the G35 coupe and the 350Z.

Same size as the IS350??? Really? I have to look again! They didn't look that big. Oh well. Also, when you have them installed after lowering, watch out for backing into parking spots with a curb.

Yup, same 115mm tips as the IS350 and GS3xx. I'm thinking because the pics of the car are only of the rear section not the whole car, you kinda loose perspective on the actual size of the tips.

Good advice, I've bent numerous exhaust tips on my other cars because of this!

Update: The noise level of the stock exhaust is 83db. The noise level of the HKS exhaust is 87.3db.

They are looking at a release date in May 2008.

I had the HiPower on my 05 tC. It came out at an angle (similar to Supra) and it looked pretty clean. IMO, they look like Rocket boosters on the G35 (not a good look). Personally, i prefer the cleaner look of the Stillen Cat-Back. All in personal taste i guess... I would like to hear it though.
