custom axle-back exhaust v2.0

Here are some pics of the straight pipe axle-back I had fabricated. Excuse the dirty pics... no time for a rinse after work today.

It uses the stock flange/clamp and the stock hangers.

This version is for sale for $375 if anyone is interested.

Did you say $375 for a pair of just pipes?

Thats really expensive dont you think?

What you have is a muffler elimination kit. Look up Blastin Bob's which they make for hemi powered LX cars. Their kit with polished 3.5" tips costs about $120 brand new!!

This can't be good for the aerodynamics. Maybe a panel can be used to cover up the void.

The flange on these cars isn't the easiest to duplicate. If you can get it done cheaper, you're welcome to try. This doesn't require any modification of the stock exhaust and bolts in and out in about 10 min.

My times were done w/ the mufflers completely removed and no straight pipes. Also, the HKS axle back exhaust showed a 5whp gain according to HKS.. I'd imagine the flow is similar since that's a straight through 'turbo' muffler.

I'm at work so I can't link youtube videos... but search for the user Turbotuner20v. I've got 3 videos up.

1 - My first dyno, 100% stock
2 - The exhaust with no mufflers (sounds the same as the straight pipes)
3 - The exhaust on a flyby

You can also try the sound in your own garage by just unbolting the stock mufflers. It takes about 20 minutes w/ a 12mm socket and if you're not lowered, you don't even need a jack.

alright... well I don't have many friends who are into cars and willing to go out and just video my car driving around, so that's probably all I can provide. If you're curious what it sounds like you can unbolt your mufflers w/ a few minutes work.
