I've been scouring this forum for people's opinions on the different exhausts out there, but the problem is most people seem to consider a loud exhaust a problem

I want the loudest, meanest, most supercharged-mustang-sounding exhaust out there, which one is it?

This car will never sound like a mustang, it is not a V8.

The HKS is loud, you might like that, also the Xo2 is a cheaper and louder knock-off of the HKS.

 

probably just go to a muffler shop and just get a large diameter straight pipe all the way thru.. or something that's the least restrictive like N1 style muffler

Just get 2.5 or 2.75 inch diameter pipes all the way to least restrictive muffler.

 

If you want the riced out fart tard sound go ahead, but it makes you car seem really stupid to 99.995% of the people your trying to impress, and drags down the rest of us while your at it.

obviously i'm not fking retarded, I want the exhaust to sound good first and be loud second. I know our tiny little V6s wont get THAT loud, it was exaggeration for effect's sake.

I do want the loudest CLEAN exhaust sound I can get. To tell you the truth, I just want it to sound as loud as an 03 coupe.

I'll look into the HKS, but, and I emphasize this strongly: I dont want something cheap, I just want something loud I'll gladly pay $1.5k+ for an exhaust if it's worth it.

this v6 sounds like @ss even with an exhaust!!

Plus there is even more bad@ss v8's coming soon (ie. CTS-V, G8, etc)..

Honestly i have had 1 VQ30DE, 2 VQ35DE's, and now 1 VQ35HR, but once i had a hemi, i can never turn back to that intoxicating sound of a v8 under full throttle!!

*sigh* just not the same LOL

 

I don't know what you think about my current setup, but I love my sound... it's not as loud as you'd expect, but at least I don't hear any rasps. On a side note, I did pay $1500+ for it.

You may be able to get louder sound by going bigger piping + test pipe instead of any cat, but my understanding is that once you go straight pipes, you'd start hearing the rasp outta mufflers... and I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear that. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck with searching for that perfect sound.... it'll be hard, but worth it.

The 300C is a cool car, but sorta tank-like...

 

I think are our cars with a nice exhaust has an exotic sound to it. No other v6 sounds as smooth and has the distinct sound that these motors have. A v8 is nice, but i rather have something that sounds exotic and different than every other car with a v8 trying to sound louder than everybody else on the road.

 

the loudest exhaust would be the APS 3" with 2.5" test pipes. Thats the way to go.
