Does anyone know if the G37 Exhaust bolts directly on to 2nd gen G35s?
I have one available to me and want to see if it fits my car just for ****s and giggles.

Umm.. the number of doors have no bearing on whether an exhaust is going to fit on a car or not. Perfect examples are Subarus... the exhausts are the same from 1998 - 2005 for all the different body styles including the 2dr coupes, the 2.5rs and even the STIs.

Does anyone actually know?

someday we'll need to have a parts interchangeability list to know what fits between the z/35/37, the different generations, 2dr/4dr, etc etc...

The new sedans are dual exhaust unlike the first gens. First gen coupe mid-pipe fits the first gen sedans fine, all that matters is if the new axleback fits the new sedan or not... Give it a try and let us know.

No, you need to read what I wrote. I specifically asked about the 2nd gen sedans and the g37. 1st gen sedans did not have dual exhausts.

I don't think it'll fit due to the rear lower diffuser on the sedan and the low trunk bottom. That's why the design for the HKS hi power exhaust for the G37 is configured differently than the prototype they mocked up for the 2nd gen sedans.

I wouldn't mind if someone proves me wrong because the coupes will definitely have more exhaust options than sedans.

Anyway, I was looking at my friend's G37 and even though the Y Pipe and everything looks to be about the same, the mufflers hang way different and the actual exhaust pipes sit a lot closer on the 37s. Oh wells.

Wheelbase in previous generations was the same, so the 07 sedan and G37 should be the same as well. It would be worth a try, they are both duals with the same rear suspension. On both cars the pipes do run underneath the rear subframe as well. It looks the same. Only difference I would think might be exhaust hanger points.

I know it has no bearing to the question posted, but people in the Z forums have mentioned that for their HR, they can use DE aftermarket headers, but need accompanying DE pipes to fit, so who knows... Nissan designs to share alot across platforms to save on costs...

This is true. The bolt pattern is the same pon the cylinder head ( Greddy TT manifolds fit) but the flanges at the ends of the headers are different from the DE's to the HR's. The cats/testpipes would be needed with whatever headers (DE or HR) you choose.

the wheelbase is the same, it might fit...maybe you will just have to extend the tips to clear the bumper..not sure though.
