In many vehicles CAI's add very little in comparison to WAI's. The actual temperature of the air going into the engine is very close on both types of intakes as the tubing from the CAI's builds up heat thus heating the air as it flows into the intake manifold. Again on the 5th gen Maximas someone did take the actual temperatures from several different types of intakes and they all were very close when entering the manifold. From the pictures provided I feel confident in stating that the Injen's tubing will get quite hot. The dyno graphs look promising, but I'm very interested in seeing more dyno graphs from members on this board. From past experience with VQ's, they tend to lose hp/tq up high with CAI's.

its all depends where the cai is located......mostly the filter is in the bumper of the car next to a fog lite or something so it will give more hp from the cooler air. yes the tubing gets just as when it gets close to the manifold but the longer piping from cais reduces it some

It may. I have no experience in the G, but I had alot of knowledge of the Altimas and the Maximas and the temps were almost identical between the CAI's (Injen included) and the WAI's. The CAI's had slightly better low end hp/tq numbers and the WAI's had better high end hp/tq numbers. However, they had lower HP/TQ numbers at their respective opposite ends. While they sounded good, it definitely wasn't a good price/performance mod, especially having to purchase two of them for our G's. It's also horribly expensive to replace the filters or it's very impracticle to clean them and reoil. The lower the filter sits, the dirtier it's going to get. With the higher flow filters, it's going to let more dirt into the engine. There is no beating the physiques with this regard.
