It uses an oil impregnated filter. I was told by their R&D that the filter itself is made custom for Injen.

From what I understand, installation is a bit of a pain as well.
It comes with a smaller windshield washer resevoir to make space and may require removal of the front bumper too.

Man I really want one, but I'd rather wait till someone tries it on this forum and gives us some good feedback on installation techniques and problems

i wonder what 14hp 11ft-lbs of torque mean on the drag strip...maybe 0.04 sec quicker?

i still wanna see someone fit it to their sedan before i buy. not paying 500bucks for an ill fitting aftermarket intake system.

The time is probably right. But only because it's more likely 4hp and 3 lb/ft, if that. Originally Posted by ugaexploder

I really really really hate how dishonest performance companies can be about bolt on horsepower claims.
I did the math once for my last car (02 trans am) with all the bolt ons and HP claims.
Bolt on only (using the claims), I could have 500hp!! (around 160hp over stock).
In reality, you'd be lucky to get 50hp over stock with all the bolt ons added together.
It seems like the companies just take the worst dyno numbers stock, then compare them to the best ones after the mod. Since a dyno can change 5 or more hp per run, it's hard to tell what the actual gains are.
They SHOULD compare average dynos before and after in the same weather conditions.

I just want to see a dyno sheet from a user not the manufacturer. Weird how Stillen intakes lose power, but Injen makes power.

I was there when they dyno'd my car, and yes there was gains in HP across the band. TQ was lost in the lower RPMs, but gained back and more as the RPMs went higher.
What surprised me is that despite the fact that I already had pretty good breathing mods (cat-back and HFCs), the intake still delivered good 6~7HP at the peak on a hot day (91 degrees that day).
I will be visiting them again to get my washer reservoir (yeah, I don't have one. lol) soon, and I'll be sure to ask them for a copy of my dyno sheet.

what are you talkin about?! blueslate has posted many pics of his G with the injen intake on. plus, if you know anything about Injen...you don't have to "wait and see if it fits"...they're the best intake company on the market and no that is not a subjective opinionOriginally Posted by IvoryPearl07G
