berk test pipes on 07-08?

anyone have them? did a search and came up with nada. It says Mechanical CEL fix included but not as effective on 07-08 models on the site its sold on, does anyone know why? is the "mechanical fix" just an o2 simulator? thanks

Mechanical fix is using spark plug defoulers to pull the o2 sensor away from the direct stream of the exhaust. I'd guess the sensitvity of the ecu is greater in the 07-08's

TTT. Does anyone know the answer to this? I'm curious about test pipes as well.

Fast Intentions has them, along with their HFC which are available for the sedan/coupes. I have not heard of anybody actually going with test pipes on the late model N/A sedans yet because of the added noise.

Can you give me an idea of what type of noise I would be getting if I decided to get the test pipes only? Running stock exhaust. Was considering F.I's full exhaust since its on sale but might consider just going with test pipes for now. Also, there should be no problems with CEL going with F.I. correct? Thanks in advance Terry.

I don't think anyone has that configuration (TP w/ stock exhaust) on a late model sedan.

Fast Intentions took care of the CEL on their HFC, so they should be able to do the same with their test pipes. You can call Tony at Fast Intentions for more information.

IMO, take it one step at a time starting with cat back, then cat back with HFC added, then replace the HFC with TP if you want to go all the way with least restriction. You should be able to sell the HFC.

Also keep in mind, you can pass CA emmisions testing with a cat back, but not if you have HFC or TP installed.

It will be NOTICIBLY LOUDER. you are removing 2 catalytic convertors. you will still might have a cel problem bc the ecu will kno wthat there is no cat convertors in place
