please help, i am stuck!! power wire from engine to trunk

I am installing a sub into my new 08 g35 sedan. I removed the battery, and found two metal tubes going through a rubber grommet. I have been told to just stick the power wire through and i should appear behind teh glove box. But its not there!!

it is showing behind the wheel well. I removed the rubber panel behind my front passenger tire, and its there. i dont see any holes that leads to the glove box.

is the wire supposed to appear under the carpet, behind the glove box?

What am i doing wrong!!

ps. i have used the search.

thx in advance

I'm speaking as a coupe owner but I dropped the glove compartment, fed my power lead from the battery compartment through the rubber grommet and down to the ECU area. I pulled the passenger door kick trim that secures the carpet and ran the wire under the carpetalong the door and then under the back seat to the trunk to cennect to the amp. I would assume on the sedan, you would pull the trim on both the front and rear passenger door to accomplish the same thing.

Its the same as the sedan, as i said you should take off the glove box and the holder and it will make your life much easier, just pop off the glove box from the lower joints and then i think there are like 7 screws, take them off and that will expose the firewall where you SHOULD see the wire if you have fed it correctly through the gromet

thats actually also another place to pass the wire and would be easier but the only reason i did not do that was beacuse i did not want the power cable to be visible in the engine bay for nmy dealer to see as he's _____.(u can fill the blanks) anyways either way is fine.

yup, i passed the power wire through the rubber groment on the left side of the battery. this is alot easier than i previously thought. I hope i wont have any issues returning the car in 3 years.

Do you just get speaker level sub input from the rear sub?
