Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you ever had this problem, or if it's a problem at all. When i push the car rather hard, so it revs high, when i change the gear a weird exhaust sound comes out of the back, kinda like a rattle/Whoosh sound. Car is a g35xS totally stock, and a 5at, I couldn't get it on video because the car has to be moving under load. Any feedback would be great.

There was a thread about this "blow off valve" sound a while back. If I recall, everyone seems to have it with the stock exhaust.Originally Posted by Csquared

My G35s (5AT) makes a similar sound when shifting...i thought it was the transmission though. Curious to see if others hear the same thing.
hmm... To me sounds more like a grinding sound of some sort but I'll go check out that thread too thanks.

Man no one chimmed in on this. Mine sounds pretty bad with HFC's. Very tinny in the upper RPM range 3500+

Mine sounds like crap after 4k rpm with the HFCs and stock exhaust
Not RECOMMENDED to ever push car past 4kRPM or sounds worse than a civic LOL
Right ANMVQ?

Could not agree with you more. The Civic sound to match the Civic size exhaust pipes we have.. LOL, Even my wife the other day said why does the exhaust sound like that is something loose?? I can't tell her I put on HFC's she'd kill me. But now she is think of getting a cat back. She loved the Tanbe on my 350Z and the Nismo on our 04 Max( Just traded out of)..
