Question installing injen intakes?

hey guys, my friend alen just bought the injen intakes but doesnt have enough money to get them installed at a shop.
He would rather do it himself and me help him out.
i wish i knew but i didnt install my injens myself. i had a shop put them on
is it hard to install and do we have to take the bumper off to do it?

if someone can help us out that'll be great

explaining how to do it will be even better

hey man! I did mine myself. It's not that hard, but it's time consuming to get everything placed right etc... like make sure the pipes is not rubbing anything before you tighten everything up! and you can Install them by just going through the wheel wells. Thats what i did. the hardest part was getting to the bolts for the Factory Washer Resovoir, you can get to the bolts, it just takes time to remove the Top bolt, since not too much room to manuver the hands and wrench. but it can be done! It tokk me about a little over 2hrs to Install, thats Including a Lunch break, lol. But just take your time and follow the directions. and for the Horn on the drivers side, I just bent it up out of the way, Instead of relocating it like the Instructions say to do. Good Luck Bro!

just make sure you try not to force the bumper off...those little clips will break very easily above the headlight area...there are hidden screws you have to get to by using an extended socket through the wheel wheel area...pull back the weather stripping to get the other hidden bolt...PM if you need any help

I installed mine today.. Taking bumper off took while cause I never took bumper off before and took me long time to just jacking my car up cause it got lower than before when I first lowered my car!! (Shocks going bad!!!).. Anyway.. After the bumper off everything was pretty easy.. Changing the Washer fluid was easy, relocating horn was easy.. Putting bumper back only took 20 min top.. Here are some pictures.. I was actually gonna make DIY for it.. But my Digital Camera's battery was dead.. So I took some shots with DSLR.. I didn't want to get my camera dirty so I didn't take a lot of pictures for DIY...

Car with front bumper off.. Actually with installation done..

Passenger side.. You can see you had to use the washer fluid that came with the intake.. It is smaller than stock one..

Driver Side.. You can kinda see the horn facing you in the picture.. I did it little different than what instruction said.. Cause instruction said "injen recommend you install horn DOWNWARD for avoiding water blah blah", and there picture showed them installing it upward.. So.. I installed it side way..

After done...

Just few Shots

OH.. I also used the service manual which helped a lot.. It also says to remove the rubber thing on the fender under the hood.. But you don't really have to.. There are 4 pins holding that piece and 2 in the front are PITA to remove.. So I just gave up on those and removed the middle one and just opened the rubber thing with my hand..

Also when you are done removing all the bolts bumper won't just fall off by itself which I was kinda expecting to happen.. You just need to grab the bumper under the headlight and gently pull towards the front and then it will fall right off..

I think those were the only parts I got confused or had trouble of.. Everything else went smooth.. GOOD LUCK!!

Nice pics Hji, these are probably the clearest pictures of the Injen intakes I've ever seen, and I've been going crazy about people not taking clear pictures to see where the filters "actually" sit, nice one dude

Thanks Bro.. I was going to take more pictures.. But I didn't really have rooms in my garage and I was holding a DSLR which sucked.. So.. Maybe next time when I take bumper off (For some reason.. Don't know when.) I will make some DIY..
