UpRev ECU Upgrade

Is $750 for 6hp ($125/hp) a bit expensive?
Just a rough guess/calculation but did Terryc pay in the $60-$70/whp price range?
I realize these are two entirely different levels of mods but how much R&D goes into ECU flashes to justify the seemingly high cost/hp and how much labour is involved.
This is a sincere question by one who does not know. I am not being a smart ***.

saw the ecu reflashed today on a HR Z with stock and nismo exhaust only, I think it gained about 4 or 5 horsepower... but the afr curve was smoothed out and I hear that it will get considerably better gas mileage and plus it got some cool maps loaded.
Hopefully I'll be able to get mine this week.

Their still not available for our 08 X model. I call TS and confirmed them with mine ECU CODE and still not available. However there is a good chance since they had done it for 07 G35X. We just have to wait until tadashi cameback from Japan to confirm if that is compatible.I will call them again on FEB 15th.

That was forum member, Kennedy's, car. The main difference after the tune was that his midrange torque was higher/more immediate in the curve and with the Uprev flash they added a valet map (can't rev past certain rpm), performance map, and a 2 step launching map for drag racing (very cool). He pretty much whooped me (roll racing in 3rd) on the drive back home to Orlando too. I'll be getting the flash too as well in the future. The guys at S&R peformance seemed like very reputable knowledgeable folk in regards to our cars.

I'm looking forward to the valet map and improving my performance in the car all around. Even a couple more HP and TQ would be great not to mention improved gas mileage which I heard is a "side effect of the tuning" :-)
