Unfortunately due to uncontrollable circumstances involving me having to be out of town this week (my dear 84 year old Grandma had serious brain surgery yesterday morning) and just getting back home right now, the 1st Gen. kits production is delayed until next week. I'll be furiously fabricating them this weekend to have them ready. But come Monday have your money ready to spend.

Just a question to BB:

Your competitor offers a system that utilizes an ecu/tcu wire. Did you ever try something similar for the 07+'s and, if so, what were your findings?

 

That is a very good question. I'm sure it helps to some degree but I honestly don't know how much. I certainly considered it and haven't included it for several reasons: It makes for a more difficult install. I am also very reluctant to design/install grounding to the ECU/TCU because the second some idiot does something stupid and fries their $$$ ECU doing something totally unrelated to my parts, I'm sure I'll get the blame. No thanks.

If you really want one I could do it, but it will drive up cost quite a bit and make the installation much more involved. You'll also have to sign a legal disclaimer and send it to me before I'd sell to you. It's just more hassle than I need.

Had a grounding kit on my RSX Type-S before I sold it and I definitely noticed increased throttle response. That's really about all I noticed, but that alone is enough for me to get these for my G...when i get my G that is.

 

I got my kit back on Tue or Wed last week. got around to fitting it yesterday...one word of advice don't fit these while the engine is hot, I've got some burnt knuckles lol (I waited an hour for it to cool, but was still hot in some areas).

Anyway back to the install, it took me around 1hr to finish it off (mainly because I took my time, and I like to double check everything) at the same time my body was being drained by what seemed like 30 mosquitoes. anyway, I had a 2hr rest before going for a test drive, it started to rain and I thought perfect, lemmi take the car out for a wash at the same time. I leave my driveway and as I reach the end of the road my flat tyre indicator came on, went back home only to find my rear passenger side tire is flat!! damn it!! this is the 3rd flat tyre I've had in 4 months!!! anyway, I'm getting the new tyre installed today so I'll let you guys know how I get along with the drive once the car is back to it's usual status.

 

I thought you were going to say the "grounding kit" made the flat tire indicator come on.

That sucks about your flat! At least you were close to home and not on the side of the instate.

 

^ lol, no the grounding kit wasn't a factor, I saw the nail in the tyre. Speaking of tyres mine is getting replaced as we speak so I'll let you guys know once I'm done.

 

Lol the grounding wire was so good, it attracted the nail to puncture the tire! Lol
But I'm sorry that had to happen, I hate flat tires

 

^ lol yeah it's that good, what the BB kit did attract was loads of mosquito bites, my legs full of them right now Ugh...

Anyway, I test drove the car a bit last night, and drove it to work today and here are my findings:

I haven't used the radio so I don't know if its louder yet, the display on the car said I have 500 and something KM of fuel in the car (full tank) but first time I see it give me 500 on a full tank, I'm not complaining (more fuel ftw).

Now in D mode it was a bit hard for me to tell if the car was shifting faster, it might have done so but I don't drive that much in D anyway so I couldn't really tell, what I could tell was that the throttle response has defiantly improved in all modes (D, DS & M), it just seems to be that bit more sensitive and responsive to any changes in the acceleration paddle which is great (for me at least it is)

In DS is where the BB kit truly showed its worth, it seems to accelerate faster (probably not, maybe just placebo effect) but it defiantly shifted faster, it went through 1st, 2nd and 3rd like a charm. I dunno why but I could swear it accelerated faster through the rev range, and sounded just right.

I haven't used it all that much in M since fitting the BB kit because I've been wanting to get used to D and DS to see what difference it's made. All in all I'm very happy with the KIt, it's worth the money I paid and I'm happy as to how the car feels now. The two biggest benefits I see is better throttle response and faster shifts in DS mode (for me at least), hope this helps anyone who's undecided
