Where to find K&N Typhoon?

So apparently the K&N typhoon is on backorder until mid Feb. This is a real bummer because I just decided to upgrade my intake and had settled on the K&N but it now seems that I'll be forced to get the Stillen. Not much difference I suppose but I'd rather spend my money on the K&N where at least I won't lose any power (even if it is minimal).

So does anyone know where I can get the K&N intake? Or should I not even bother and just stick with the Stillen gen 2 (on order right now - should be here by next week).

Why didn't you order gen3? They were supposed to put up a separate part number for our year G35 but supposedly it is identical to what's up for the 2009 G37 sedan.

I thought about it but decided my area just gets poured on with rain constantly that it isn't worth it to have to be worrying about that all the time. The roads here are disastrous as well which means large unseen puddles everywhere. Even if it is apparently a non-issue - it would still worry me and I don't want to pay to worry.

Have tried stillen but they told me it was on backorder.

I called HP but they didn't call back. I hope they happen to have it in stock otherwise I fear they may be waiting on the backorder also. Also HP doesn't ship to my area - northern Jersey.

GaryC- I definitely have choices but my choices are becoming limited. That's why I wanted to see where you guys might order your parts from.

I've been waiting on the Stillen G35 Gen 3 intake since they dyno'd the G37 version. However after running the K&N for over a month now, I'm really having a hard time swapping over to the Stillen. The K&N seems to produce more "useable" HP at normal RPMs (4-6k). If you spend most of your time at 7K+, then go gen 3, but for normal driving I've been very pleased with the K&N.

Yea the K&N just seems to be the best intake right now for the money.

dooo it! if you are local (so cal) let me know and you can check mine out... me and 2GorNot2G did a write up on them, we love them! I like the location of G3 Stillen, but it's expensive and the long tube I had was a nightmare and Stillen's CS was a bigger nightmare!

from what I've heard about injen is its much more tame, though it is very noticeable when you open throttle

Its still a nightmare trying to find this intake. If Andy doesn't have it (whom I called today and left a message giving him the go ahead to purchase it) because its on backorder or something then I may resort to ebay.

BTW Kulg35 - I think I read somewhere you did comparisons with all the intakes. I think it said you did one with the stillen also (if you didn't then I'm mistaking you for someone else). How does the stillen sound compared to this K&N intake?
