R2C air intake

So as I've been searching for my K&N air intake for my '08, I came across this air intake that has been mentioned in a few other threads throughout the forums. However, there really wasn't any conclusive info on the company or air intake. Several people have said that it roars nicely but that was from an older coupe.

Apparently the air filters really do work nicely but has anyone tried or have any experience with this company or this air intake system?

No dyno's, No real numbers. Should that be an instant turn off?

Biggest advatage it has over all current intakes is its dry filter element which prtects your engine better than any other oiled filter or dry filter to date, there have been many posts with analysis and such over at g37.com.

Google r2c intakes and should find their homepage which has all the info and stats...

Yea I guess I'll have to wait and see how this performs before I make any decisions. I was reading up on all of the posts that a rep (I guess a rep?) made on another thread about their product and air filter.

It definitely does look promising.

From what I understand they do make replacement filters for Stillen and JWT popchargers. Maybe Injen too but I'm not sure. However the Stillen replacement requires you to cut away some of the plastic below where the filter would be placed. Apparently R2C used a smaller pre-cut stillen tube then normal and used that when they made their specs for the Stillen replacement.

Either way the filters seem top notch, it is just the intake I'm really wondering about.

They've been on about this thing forever, I was looking into it but they took forever. I hope it comes out soon. Saw a pic of one in matte black looks so good.

I checked that link and they have replacements for K&N. I'm very interested to see how these do on the dyno.

Would the ones from a 350z fit? Cause I know a lot from the G37 don't technically fit.

According to other threads about these air filters (and intake) - R2C used to make filters for the military a while back and have making them for race cars or something. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure that's what was said. And they also did a demonstration comparing their filters with the K&N filters and showed that they were superior.

From: Waltham Ma,
WOW 499 for just filters and a sheild, I know dry filters help save our MAF's but for that price, I think it a little nuts..
