Unable to shift into 5th

For all you 5AT 07+ G's out there here is a situation I just ran into and I am wondering if you all have experienced this yourselves.

When I am in M mode, I am able to shift 1 through 4 without a problem. When I try to shift from 4->5 my car will not shift gears. I was not in WOT during the shift and was going 45mph. I am wondering if it's just my car needs to "warm up" (I park it outside 100% of the time, it's cold as heck in IL, and this "problem" can only be replicated the first ~5 minutes from when I start the car up).

Shift times in my G take FOREVER when the car is cold.
It certainly may have something to do with it.

when in M mode there is a minimum speed you must be at before going to specific gears as same as on my tl.

Check your manual that should be the reason, next time around speed up a bit then try to go into 5th, im not familiar with the AT's shift pattern but i would guess 45 for 5th is about right but then again its a 5 speed gearbox so it might be higher

^ I would have thought the same, I'm not sure but I'll try it out on my car tonight, but I think 45mph is a bit slow for 5th gear, maybe I'm wrong I'll see what my car does.

I am thinking this is probably due to the extreme cold over here as I can not recall having this issue during spring through fall seasons

i thought you have to be above about 1800-2000 rpms in order to shift to the next gear
