07 G35X Auto Hard Shifting into 3rd

16k miles on the clock, brought my G into dealer for very hard - almost slamming when shifting into 3rd gear only, primarily in manual mode shifting. Also happened in D mode when driving a cold engine. But even warmed up, if I went into manual mode , the hard shifts would occur. At first I thought it was ECU problem, Dealer diagonosed a faulty Tranny Valve Body. They replaced it without question under warranty, now she's better than ever.

Csquared: What is 'wot". Sorry for the ignorance.... Did you DIY on the LED Fogs lights, LED parking lights?? Did you rewire the Fogs to come on without the headlights on? I'd like to have the Fogs act as Daytime driving lights, like the Canadien version does..

Fogs I have HID, and I did that myself, for the parking lights it's just changing the bulbs to a LED bulb I believe they are194 bulbs. Did it all myself. It's not hard. I'm in the states so I didn't rewire to have the Parking and Fogs come on at the same time.

and what G35now said WOT = wide open throttle.

i got the 6 led for parking, Fogs are not led, it's HID, but don't use my brand they suck, Apexcone, for the fogs, I have one side yellow the other blue, I sent the bulbs back and it's doing the same thing again.

I have the hard shifts into 3rd gear as well, but not consistently. I notice the hard shifts only after a cold startup, ie. in the morning, but don't remember if it's all the time.. What dealer did you use?

geron: I leased thru Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY. They have provided terrific & professional service. The sales experience (actually leased) was a pleasure. They even honored the COSTCO referral which saved me some $$$. Believe me, I shopped the deal at 4 different dealers. All were different price quotes. Pepe was the best.
The hard shift was definetely worse when cold, but even after warm up, in manual mode primarily, although it could be felt less severe in D mode as well. After the Tranny Valve Body was changed, it's been great. I also had the TSB 028 applied last year which they told me affected the shifting as well as the touchy throttle. The ECU upgrade didn't really address the hard shifting, but seemd to be a bit hesitant. Now that the Valve Body was done, the throttle seems to be more like "old' , touchy not hesitant at all. I wonder if the ECU was upgraded as well???
