Hello Everyone,

I recently had a custom X pipe exhaust 2 1/4 inch setup made for my car w/ Fast Intentions High flow cat, and it sounds great except for some drone and slight raspiness. Keep in mind I had the stock resonators removed, and what bothers me the most is the slight raspiness at take off, tryin to keep the G clean not ricey! Now my question is whether I should put my stock resonators back on or just get some high flow resonators after the X pipe like the Stillen exhaust setup. Does anyone know if this would make a big difference in horsepower? I'll try to get some video of my setup asap.

im looking for this same answer. I took off my stock resonators and had them replaced with straight tubing and Magnaflows put on. With the magnaflows alone it was not load enough, now with the resonators gone they are tooo loud with way too much drone. So i was thinking of doing a X pipe w/ high flow resonators.

 

Sounds fine to me from the clips.

 

Wait do you have just an X, or the magnaflow X that is already resonated? Like the FI one?

I have tanabe's on order and i'm looking at getting an x pipe, i have berks HFCs

 

I can't think of the name of the mufflers I used off hand, but they seem to flow pretty well, and I had the shop burn the tips for me for the titanium look. Yesterday I had the same shop put a pair of blu ray high flow resonators on my exhaust to quiet the rasp and drone down. The resonators helped take the drone out, but the rasp at take off is still there. The guys at the shop told me that the rasp is there because of FI HFC. I think it may be because of the no name exhaust I'm using. Damn I could have bought the Fast Intentions setup for what I've spent so far! Next only R&D stuff for me
