Tell them not to waste their time on an exhaust, especially not one that they will charge $2k for. The VQ motor is not one to take to bolt on's very well. Everything is designed so well from the factory that aftermarket parts dont gain much power. They are mostly for looks, sound and bragging rights.

Even that's way bigger than ours.

You seem to be putting a lot of faith behind this. I'd be weary of putting so much hope for those HP numbers.

Alright ill let them know but on friday i was getting my Sways installed and when i looked at the exhaust it looked very restricted. after the Cats the pipes get smaller than 2 inchs maybe 1.75. maybe i can have them do an X pipe from the cats for cheaper than 2K

To be honest with you, i think ours looks bigger than the one on the 530i:

That's not the actual snorkel. The snorkel goes through that opening where the black plastic is (that's where the area is enlarged when you run a Stillen Gen 3 btw) in the area inside those 3 bolts (where the arrows point to).

I love them!!! It was like night and day you felt a little more umph and the growl didn't hurt either. Maybe cause thier mine but I think it sounds better then my friends stillen short tubes. I just hope when I put on my exhaust and and HFC that it wont take away from the intakes to much.

Infiniti has dubbed the "ram air" effect on the OEM intakes to provide up to 6hp at speed. Perhaps that's what he's referring to.

RIght after the cats the Y pipe is 1.75 then i think it goes back to 2.5 as the y pipe meets and then back to 1.75 after the resonators.
