Ahhh...sorry about that. I had no idea so I thought it was a inside code that you guys had. No offense intended.

If you guys are sharing info about the supercharger, please do translate to english so others can learn as well.

I would be interested as to where they think they can put this unit under the sedan with the spare tire well in the back. Best case scenario with a sedan I can see is the turbo on one side and a single exhaust on the other. The 350Z's were different because they did not have the drop down spare tire well under the trunk and everything could go right there.

Since the turbo sits in the rear of the car, is there protection underneath? What happens in the rain, snow, etc. Obviously your typical turbo set-up is inside the engine bay, where it is protected from those elements. Thoughts?

The claim by STS is that the turbo getting wet during use is not a problem. They do back it up with video of them doing doughnuts with a STS system through huge pudddles for quite a long time. The video is on there website. This does not show long term effect (if any) of the temperature changes but nothing went "boom" during that test.

The a$$-mounted turbo should run significantly cooler than the one under a hood since the environment and gases are both much cooler. Therefore I would assume much less stress from the smaller temperture change when compared to splashing water on a running turbo just after the manifold/header.

The temperature change from the just the exhaust gases after the manifold is definitely not enough to cause damage to the system since our exhaust undergoes that stress daily from the cat back.

I don't have the brain power to figure the heat added during compression plus friction but STS's claim is plausible.

My $0.02

This is pretty cool but how does it work? It is unique indeed because I had no idea you can install turbo this way lol.

The only thing that scary is what if we dropped our car and we happened to hit the road bump really HARD! bye bye turbo?

I looked at some pictures there are serious piping going on under the body...just too scary thinking about go over that damn speed bump at my work.

The turbo piping sits no lower than your current stock exhaust. Its pretty much tucked in there really good.

Now if you're scraping your stock exhaust now with those speed bumps then you may have something to worry about.

If you're not scraping your exhaust then you're fine with this kit

I'm really digging the thought of this kit because of the less underhood temperatures=more reliability and most of all good price, I think anywhere from $5-6K at most with everything you need. If we can get a donor and a few more interested I'll be in on this one

Ok I'll bite. I'm interested and will drive my car to Utah (**** thats a long drive from cali ). But I know STS from my F-body days and will consider giving it a try. On a side note, how will this affect my Fast Intentions exhaust??? I would hate to take a loss on it after just getting it a few months back
