The only thing i've really subjectively noticed is a much smoother 2-1 downshift. I haven't really felt the other shifts to be noticeably quicker and I haven't used my radio much since I picked up my stillen catback

I'm not buying the +3db increase either. Were the doors and windows in the same positions between the two results ?

Yep. They were all closed, with me inside. And i reset the meter after every shot i took (the shutter click does affect the reading). All shots were also focused manually to prevent the focusing motor from adding to the bottom line.

Again, please note that the meter is only supposedly accurate to +/- 1db. So at worst, it's a 1 db increase.

The point of the test is not to show the sound increase, but that the grounding kit does provide some benefits across the entire electrical path of the vehicle. I couldn't quantifiably measure the other subjective things i noticed after adding the wires, at least not without better equipment. This was a nice alternative.

I also wanted to add, for those that have the kits already installed. Have you noticed the more aggressive shifting (or lack thereof)? D mode feels quite a bit more enthusiastic than i can recall. It's almost like being in DS all the time. It holds gears better, i'm not even driving any differently than i normally do (relaxed).

I mean this in a good way, it's almost like the ECU is assessing the situation faster. No double-guessing.

I've noticed the tranny shifting better, and quicker.

I guess the reason I haven't noticed much change in the shifting is because I drive almost exclusively (95% of the time) in M mode...

How many miles are on the car since the wires were put on? It took me about 100 miles to notice the main differences.

I just installed my grounding wires tonight.

I did notice increased throttle response and louder radio. I still have to drive some more to determine faster shifting.

I think I bent the heck out of one of the rings connected to the negative terminal. Anyone else do this? Is this an issue? lol The bolt is very deep on the screw though... I guess thats good?

^ Congrats Wes, no worries on the bent ring, as long as it's making good contact to the neg've terminal.

let us know those shifting results.

Hundreds upon hundreds. I put them on an hour before I drove back to Austin from Houston (160ish miles) after Spring Break last week.

I never had a problem with throttle response, I always thought it was good so I haven't really noticed its any "better." It was always good.

But at least my 2-1 downshifts are smooth since I do them all the time to hear the Exhaust on downshifts . I don't jerk people forward anymore, then have them think I can't brake smoothly
